Did You Know...
...that Glendo Reservoir is an 18,000-acre reservoir located on the North Platte River in central Wyoming. The Wyoming Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation cooperated with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the Wyoming State Parks and Historic Sites to develop two wetland interpretive trails at Glendo Reservoir. One trail is located at Muddy Bay and encompasses a large wetland/riparian complex.
The other site is located below the emergency spillway where a reach of the river had been de-watered. This de-watered reach has recently been enhanced through installation of a low flow outlet works and supports high quality emergent and riparian wetland complexes.
